Other 'Kylies' dragged in the Aljur Abrenica-Kylie Padilla drama as fans crave more tea

By PINKY S. ICAMEN Published Oct 21, 2021 5:07 pm

Social media has been ablaze with posts related to Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla’s split since the actor dropped a bombshell, urging his wife to “tell the truth” of their separation.

Celebrity breakups sometimes turn ugly and with this, more names are dragged in the picture like for this instance, Aljur’s supposed new flame, budding actress AJ Raval. Padilla has also denied dating actor JM de Guzman, whom some fans linked to her after her split with Abrenica.

But trust in the power of social media and the humor of some netizens, other names will be brought to light in the name of laughs.

Recently, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa got "entangled" with the estrange couple’s issue after social media personality Senyora posted on Facebook their exchange. “Hoy, Kylie sabihin mo raw sa amin!” referring to Aljur’s viral Facebook post on Oct. 19 that starts with “Kylie, please tell them the truth.”

In response, Verzosa referenced the famous line of Bea Alonzo’s character in the movie Four Sisters and a Wedding and replied in jest, “Bakit ako? Parang kasalanan ko?”

Verzosa reposted the private conversation between her and Senyora with the caption, “Tigilan niyo na mga issue issue! Napapagod ako sa inyo!” with laughing emojis.

Meanwhile on Twitter, another “Kylie” was also embroiled in the issue.

This time, American comedian Kylie Brakeman, who received a DM from a Twitter user asking her, “Hey Kylie what’s the truth?” together with an art card of Aljur with his now famous quote.

Brakeman captioned her tweet, “I really didn’t know what I was expecting.”

Some of her followers took the joke and urged her to “please tell the truth,” while others were puzzled and said, “Did this person just type ‘Kylie’ and started beef with the first blue check who came up? lol.”

In the tweet’s thread are some Filipinos, who were quick to explain the situation. Twitter user @thiaethra responded to one of the commenters, “It’s kind of a Filipino meme where u ask people who has the same name and act as if they’re the ones involved.”

Others like @mouresesoriano apologized on behalf of Filipinos. “OMG. On behalf of the Filipino people, I apologize for my fellow countrymen. They don’t know what they are doing.”

So, who will be involved next? Kylie Jenner? Kylie Minogue? We’ll soon find out.

Impatient ‘Maritess’ goes directly to the sources

As the issue between the estranged couple continues to intrigue fans, with Kylie supposedly throwing shade at Aljur with her recent posts and AJ Raval apologizing to Kylie for sharing Aljur's scathing Facebook post, there are some who cannot seem to wait any longer for things to unfold. Like netizen Che Malabanan-Catapang, who directly messaged the people involved, hoping to get some tea.

In a Facebook post, Catapang shared screenshots of her direct messages to Aljur, Kylie, AJ, JM, and Kylie’s father, Robin Padilla.

“Utang na loob! Ayoko mapuyat. Baka replyan ako ni Robin. Ay teka, message ko na (rin) AJ,” Catapang wrote in her caption.

Capatang, who seemed intently tuned in to the issue, crafted messages to the celebrities involved that looked like she actually wanted to get answers, even posing several questions in some.

Like in her message to AJ Raval, who recently revealed that Aljur is courting her, Catapang said, “Hindi ko alam kung maaawa ako sayo or what, sa lahat ng sinapit mong kabwisitan at irita ng mga babae sayo at sisihin ka sa hiwalayang Kylie at Aljur. Pero hindi ka ba guilty?” She added, “Mag 9:30 p.m. na e, hindi pa rin ako mapakali. Pasuyo naman na.”

Catapang also sent a message to JM de Guzman, asking if allegations are true that he is the supposed third party. “Totoo nga? Amina na! Para ako’y makatulog na. Corny nina Kylie, Aljur, AJ at Robin e. Mga hindi marunong mag-reply. Makikisuyo na ha, talagang antok na ako.”

In her recent post, Catapang said she has been receiving a lot of friend requests after her viral post. At present, there are no updates yet from her query but she assured those who have been following her for the “latest chikka” that she will post once there are further developments.

Yes, the “Maritess” in many definitely want an update.
