Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez is among the top 5 finalists of the pageant's Beauty with a Purpose challenge, a charity that supports humanitarian projects across the world.
The beauty queen made the announcement on social media on Wednesday, Dec. 15 while sharing a photo of herself in a pink Louis Pangilinan gown at the gala charity night.
"Philippines!! We made it to the top 5 of the BWAP final round. Miss World Organization will also be coming to the Philippines to fund my project Mommy Chona, this is for you and to all the solo parents out there," she wrote.
Perez thanked her supporters, saying that it "was all just a dream."
"A few more days before the coronation night, lalaban tayo," Perez said.

Perez also added that her advocacy project, "Para Kay Nanay," is dedicated to her late single mother Chona. It also aims to help empower single parents.
"Being a mother is the most important job. It's the most important role; yet oftentimes, they are neglected. We fight so much - we talk so much of women empowerment - so why don't we start by empowering our mothers, most especially those who go through so much difficulties having to raise their families all on their own," she said in her video.
"With my project, we give them a safe space; a community to feel loved, that they're heard, where they are understood," she added.
The Miss World 2021 finals night happens on Friday, Dec 17, 8 am (Philippine time) and will be aired live on CNN Philippines network.
