Karen Davila returns to TV Patrol as one of its main news anchors.

ABS-CBN made the announcement on Friday, Oct. 8, stating that multi-awarded broadcast journalist is set to return to their flagship newscast on Monday, Oct. 11. She will be joining Henry Omaga-Diaz and Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo.

The news came just a day after Noli de Castro, who is running for a Senate seat in the 2022 elections, left TV Patrol.

In an Instagram story, Davila reshared a snippet from her last night at The World Tonight. She said: "I appreciate every part of life's journey."

Davila was with TV Patrol from 2004 to 2010 with Julius Babao and Ted Failon as her co-anchors. She then anchored Bandila for a decade with Babao and Ces Drilon.

In 2010, she became ANC Headstart's main anchor. It then won an award for Best News Anchor at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in September 2021.

Meanwhile, senior news reporter Pia Gutierrez will replace Davila in ANC's The World Tonight with Velasquez.

She started her career in journalism in ABS-CBN's regional station in Baguio in 2006. She then joined ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs in 2010. Currently, she is a Malacañang reporter for ABS-CBN News.
