Most lovely table at least expense

How do you make a holiday table setting for an intimate dinner while we fight this wicked war?

You must have a fighting spirit and a creative eye. So as to avoid unnecessary spending, you must look around your home and see what existing materials you can use. That is exactly what stylish host Apples Aberin did.

“I was not quite sure if it was right to celebrate Christmas with all the bells and whistles this year,” says stylish host Apples Aberin. “But after much thought, I decided to get into the spirit of the season.”

Apples explains: “I was not quite sure if it was right to celebrate Christmas with all the bells and whistles this year. It has been such a difficult year, after all, and a lot of our fellow Filipinos continue to feel the impact of the pandemic. But after much thought, I decided to get into the spirit of the season and do my part in spreading cheer and goodwill. So, we kicked off Christmas by hosting an intimate dinner for dear friends, who all came dressed in red and green and gamely donned the headgear I prepared.”

Apples’ dinner guests gamely donned the headgear she’d prepared.

Apples opted to go with traditional reds and greens to make her tablescape bright and merry. “I recycled a lot of things to create this look. I used old swag, candles and eucalyptus that I grabbed from one of my vases. Then, I added apples and berries that I bought online to brighten up the look. We already had the Christmas-themed plates so it was just a matter of adding a few more touches like candy canes and name cards that were lovingly crafted by my mom.”
