Nathan Drake has finally arrived!

The first official trailer for Sony’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Naughty Dog’s video game franchise Uncharted, starring Tom Holland, has finally been released.

A day after a 40-second clip of the trailer featuring a key action sequence leaked online and made the rounds on social media, the full HD two-and-a-half minute long trailer made its worldwide premiere to the public on Thursday (Oct. 21).

Serving as a prequel to the video games, Uncharted follows Tom Holland as fortune hunter Nathan Drake alongside Mark Wahlberg as his friend and mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan, in the early days of their adventures together.

The film will also star Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Taylor Ali as Chloe Frazer, a fellow treasure hunter and love interest of Nathan’s in the games, who went on to star in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a standalone expansion to the video game franchise.

Production on the film has been kept tightly under wraps. Prior to the trailer's release, only a few images have been officially released by Sony, including a first look at Holland as Nathan and images of ancient-looking relics.

Earlier this year, Sony premiered some footage from the film at CinemaCon 2021 including Sully at an auction, Nathan entering a cave-like area and then falling out of a cargo plane—images reminiscent of the video game franchise.

Production on the film took place throughout 2020. At one point Sony planned on releasing the film in 2021, before pushing it back several times due to the ongoing pandemic.

For fans of the franchise, the film looks like it will be worth the wait to catch it on the big screen. Check out trailer for Uncharted below.

Uncharted will be hitting theaters in the US on Feb. 18, 2022.
