‘Marvel’s Avengers’ update will let players pick similar superheroes

Crystal Dynamics will allow players to organize their teams on Marvel's Avengers any way they want, even if it means all members will use the same Avenger.

The feature was introduced during the Tachyon Anomaly limited time event, but due to the feedback of players about the feature, it will finally be permanently implemented during the next update of the game.

“Finally, due to your feedback, we’re permanently turning on the ability to play multiple of the same Hero during matchmaking and when forming Strike Teams,” said Crystal Dynamics on the official Marvel's Avengers website.

The game has received negative feedback since its launch due to the presence of microtransactions and a lack of content beyond the game's story mode.

Despite the numerous additional content being released by the developers to appease fans, there are still some features promised since the game's release that are unavailable to players.

One is the controversial Playstation-exclusive Spider-Man playable hero, which to this day still isn't a part of the game's official roadmap despite being promised that it will be available shortly after launch.

The developers also faced further backlash this year as the most awaited MCU cosmetics will be exclusively available in the game's store to be purchased with in-game currency, with many fans expressing disappointment and anger as Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix said—before the game was launched—that all downloadable content will be available for free.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows.
