It seems that not a day goes by without Korean boy group BTS achieving some sort of new milestone.

Their most recent achievement? The music video for their song “Dynamite” hit one billion views on YouTube on Monday, April 12. At exactly 5:46 PM KST (4:46 PM in the Philippines), according to Korean pop culture site Soompi.

This means it took the music video around seven months, 22 days, and four hours to break one billion views.

This also means BTS now has three music videos with one billion views. Their song “Boy With Luv” reached one billion views one year, six months, and 12 days since it was released on April 12, 2019. Meanwhile, the music video for one of their earlier hits “DNA” hit this milestone in June 2020, which made BTS the first Korean boy group to have a music video with one billion views on YouTube.

Korean music acts that have achieved this milestone include PSY (“Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman”) and girl group Blackpink (“Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “Kill This Love,” and “BOOMBAYAH”)

Last week, ‘Dynamite” overtook PSY’s ‘Gentleman” as the longest-charting song in the Billboard’s Hot 100, having been on the list a total of 32 consecutive weeks.
