“King Kong, kick the drum, rolling on like a Rolling Stone.” It looks like BTS has manifested entering the American magazine’s greatest song list as early as August 2020.

BTS’ smash hit song Dynamite made K-pop history as it entered Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 greatest songs list. The "world-conquering" boy group’s song made the list at no. 346.

The magazine described Dynamite as a “landmark, hegemony-shattering moment for the world-conquering South Korean group.” It also praised the vocal abilities of BTS, with a special mention to the group’s main vocalist Jungkook.

According to Rolling Stone, the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list was created with the help of 250 artists, musicians, and producers. It was remade for the first time since 2004.

The list also includes contributions from “figures from the music industry and leading critics and journalists” where they were required to submit a list of their top 50 songs.

Dynamite, which was released in August 2020, was BTS’ first English-language track. The song’s music video has over 1.2 billion views, as of this writing.
