George Clooney: 'Put on a f*****g mask!'

American actor George Clooney blasted people who still refuse to wear masks, while also voicing support for the outburst of fellow A-lister Tom Cruise.

“This thought where everybody is like, ‘Well, it’s my freedom.’ It’s like, that’s not how this shit works, dumbass,” the 59-year-old celebrity said in an interview on the “Howard Stern Show.”

“Your freedom is this: You’re free to smoke until your lungs turn black, but you can’t do it on the bus. And you’re free to drink until your liver comes out your ass, but you can’t drink and then get behind the wheel of a car,” the actor and director added.

Clooney, who directed the upcoming Netflix movie “The Midnight Sky,” said wearing a mask is vital for everyone to pull through the pandemic.

“Put on a f*****g mask and we’ll get through this,” Clooney said.  “We've got vaccines coming — let's save another 60,000 lives before the vaccines."

Clooney also emphatized with Cruise, who blew his top and shouted down his staff at the set of the new Mission Impossible film for violating social distancing.

“He didn’t react because it’s a problem,” said Clooney.

Clooney, however, said he might have taken a different approach.

“You’re in a position of power and it’s tricky. You do have a responsibility for everybody else and he’s absolutely right about that. If the production goes down, a lot of people lose their jobs. People have to understand that and have to be responsible. It’s just not my style to, you know, to take everybody to task that way,” said Clooney.

"I wouldn't have done it that big. I wouldn't have, you know, pulled people out. I understand why he did it. He's not wrong at all about that.”
