Marvel's Loki heads to ‘Fortnite’ in July

Epic Games announced on Monday that Loki is the latest crossover playable character of Fortnite, joining the July crew pack.

The pack will include Marvel's God of Mischief outfit, cape (back bling), scepter (pickaxe), the chitauri chariot (glider), and welcoming loading screen. It will be available approximately July 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET (July 1 at 8:00 a.m., PHL time) in Fortnite Crew.

Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service for $12, launched late last year where subscribers are given access to V-bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency, and exclusive items.

The announcement came with a teaser trailer where Loki, in his green and gold suit, attempts to make friends with an inflatable character but his scepter pickaxe came in the way, immediately ending his attempt.

Loki, as the headliner of Fortnite’s 2021 July crew pack, appears to be a project linked with the character’s titular series by Disney Plus.

Developed by Epic Games, Fortnite is currently on alien invasion-themed Chapter 2: Season 7 available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
