Disney Plus has unveiled a fitting tribute for Black Panther, honoring the late Chadwick Boseman on his birthday.

As reported by CBR, Disney Plus released an updated version of Black Panther that includes a new Marvel Studios introduction, featuring images and videos of Boseman and his impact on the film. The introduction was launched on what would have been Boseman's 44th birthday on November 29.

Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger teased the tribute on Twitter a day before its release by Disney Plus. Iger tweeted, "To all fans of #BlackPanther: watch the film on #DisneyPlus late tonight, for a special tribute to someone that was and will always be near and dear to our hearts."

Marvel Studios shared the video on Twitter hours after it was released on Disney Plus, with the caption "Long live the King. #WakandaForever

Marvel Studios introduction typically includes a montage of Marvel superheroes, but the newly released intro only shows images of Boseman's role as the Black Panther.

The 34-second montage includes scenes from the film, artwork of Boseman's character, and shots of the actor on set. It is an ultimate compilation of Boseman's legacy at Marvel and his impact on cinematic history.

Boseman passed away at the age of 43 on Aug. 28, after a long battle with colon cancer. Although he was diagnosed in 2016, the actor kept his condition quiet and continued to film movies, including 21 Bridges, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Da 5 Bloods.

Earlier this month, Marvel confirmed that the studio will not be using a digital double for Boseman in Black Panther 2.

The new version of Black Panther featuring Boseman's montage is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
