Jennie of phenomenal K-pop girl group Blackpink is reportedly in talks to star in one of HBO's weekly shows.

According to a report by TV Daily, HBO offered Jennie to appear in the upcoming American drama series The Idol, but her role in the series was not yet disclosed.

In June 2021, record producer The Weeknd revealed that he will develop a series with HBO, the movie production-fit behind Euphoria, and will also star in the said show.

The series was then revealed to be named The Idol and has gained much attention from fans as it features a star-studded cast, including Troye Sivan, Lily-Rose Depp, Steve Zissis, and more.

The Idol's plot centers on a female pop artist who begins a relationship with "an enigmatic Los Angeles club owner who is the leader behind a hidden cult."

Blinks have shared their excitement on Twitter over Jennie's upcoming comeback through the HBO series after Blackpink's hiatus.

Blackpink is a YG Entertainment South Korean girl group made up of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. They are known for their charted songs such as Boombayah!, Kill this Love, and Ice Cream, which was produced in collaboration with Selena Gomez.
